Direct flights between Bratislava and Baku to begin in October

“Slovakia is proud to contribute to the reconstruction of the liberated territories of Karabakh,” Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia Richard Raši said during a joint press conference in Baku with Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, SİA reports.

According to him, Slovak companies are participating in the implementation of the “smart village” project in the village of Bash Garvand in the Aghdam district.

Richard Raši noted that he will visit Karabakh to observe the progress of the ongoing reconstruction work.

He stated that direct flights between Bratislava and Baku will begin operating from October this year: “I firmly believe that the Slovak Republic will become a popular destination for Azerbaijani tourists and businessmen, just as Azerbaijan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for Slovak tourists and businesspeople. Slovakia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners, and today’s developments clearly demonstrate that our relations are in a strong phase of development in terms of economic, interparliamentary, and people-to-people ties. Finally, I would like to reaffirm once again that Slovakia remains a reliable and balanced partner for Azerbaijan on the European stage. We intend to continue developing this partnership with great intensity in the future.”
