Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan rises by 10%

In January–March 2025, the average monthly nominal salary of salaried employees in Azerbaijan’s economy increased by 10% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 1,083.8 manats, SİA reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the data, average monthly nominal salaries were higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as in the transport and storage sector.

As of April 1, 2025, the number of salaried employees in the country’s economy totaled 1,774,900 people, of whom 880,100 were employed in the public sector and 894,800 in the non-public sector.

Of the salaried employees, 18.6% were engaged in trade and vehicle repair, 18.6% in education, 13.7% in industry, 8.5% in healthcare and social services, 6.6% in construction, 6.3% in public administration and defense and social security, 4.2% in transport and storage, 3.9% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 2.4% in agriculture, forestry and fishing, 2.3% in financial and insurance activities, and 14.9% were employed in other sectors of the economy.
