Turkish Airlines, one of the world's largest carriers, has alerted passengers to a global system failure causing significant disruptions to ticket bookings and check-in processes. This announcement comes as part of a wider technical meltdown affecting airlines across the globe.
According to SİA, which cites Turkish media, the company's mobile application is currently inaccessible. This technical glitch is not isolated to Turkish Airlines alone. Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Aena, Spain's airport operator, have also reported similar issues, warning that these technical difficulties may lead to flight delays.
The domino effect of this technical catastrophe began earlier on Friday morning when major American airlines reported a large-scale system failure, forcing them to ground their flights. Soon after, reports of potential flight delays started pouring in from across Europe.
