3544 local and foreign tourists have visited Gabala State Historical and Artistic Reserve in last year, SIA reports.
2607 of those who visited the reserve were local tourists, and 937 were citizens of foreign countries, the director of the reserve, Zahir Karimov, said in a statement.
It was reported that the majority of foreign tourists came from Poland, Russia, United Arab Emirates, England, Ukraine, Latvia, USA and Turkey.
Those who visited the reserve were given detailed information about the archaeological excavations conducted periodically in the area, the works done in the reserve area with the organization and financial support of the SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korea Cultural Exchange Association, as well as the exhibits displayed in the exhibition hall of the Gabala Archaeological Center.
Excursion services were provided to tourists in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages.
