Visits of Azerbaijani citizens, foreign tourists to territories liberated from occupation are facilitated
"As a continuation of the "Great Return" policy, the visits of Azerbaijani citizens and foreign tourists to the territories liberated from occupation are facilitated," says the joint statement by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SİA reports.
According to the statement, if up until now, citizens used to visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan only by organized bus travels and group tourist trips, from December 27, 2023, they will be able to visit the city of Shusha and the settlement of Sugovushan by private passenger cars. Citizens can obtain a travel permit starting from December 25 through the "Yolumuz Qarabağa" portal (www.yolumuzqarabaga.az). It will be possible to visit the city of Shusha by entering the Alkhanli crossing point of the Fuzuli district by Victory Road, and to the Sugovushan settlement by passing through Tartar and Goranboy (Tapgaragoyunlu village).
It was noted that the group tourist tours en route Baku-Shusha, as well as bus travels organized on the "Yolumuz Qarabağa" portal, will be continued as before. The statement says that from now on, conditions are created for foreign citizens to participate in tourist tours as well, and local and foreign tourists can apply to any tourism company to participate in tours. Group trips to Sugovushan will be organized by tourism companies classified as tour operator and tour operator-tour agent in the State Tourism Register (data.tourism.gov.az).
