Turkiye has topped the ranking of the most popular countries for Russians to invest in foreign real estate according to the preliminary results of the year, SİA informs referring to TASS.
The top five most popular destinations among Russians included Turkiye (24% of requests), the UAE (10%), Georgia (9%), Spain and Greece (8% each). Also the top ten included Cyprus, Thailand, Montenegro, France, Indonesia.
For 11 months the demand of Russian citizens for overseas real estate has increased more than in most other CIS countries, by 89%. According to this indicator, Russia was left behind only by Moldova, from which, over the same period, twice as many applications for purchases were received than a year earlier.
The largest share of requests for the purchase of real estate abroad falls on Moscow (44.6%), St. Petersburg (10%) and the Krasnodar Krai (4.9%). Among the top 10 regions with the most active demand, Moscow residents are also in the lead in terms of the average budget: for 11 months it amounted to 300,000 euros.
