75% of journalists' incomes in Azerbaijan will be exempt from income tax without any conditions applied, SİA reports.
This was reflected in the proposed amendments to the Tax Code discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament).
Under the draft law, individuals engaged in journalistic activities and earning up to 45,000 AZN per calendar year from such activities (excluding expenses) will have 75% of their income exempt from income tax.
If adopted, the Law will take effect on January 1, 2025. The draft law was put to a vote and passed in the first reading.
