Azerbaijan's revenues from gas pipelines increase by nearly 6%

In January-September of this year, Azerbaijan's revenues from cargo transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to AZN 1,999,005 thousand, which is an increase of 5.7% in comparison with the previous year, State Statistical Committee told APA.

According to the information, in the corresponding period of last year, the mentioned indicator was at the level of AZN 1,891,727.3 thousand.

It should be noted that in January-September of this year, 29,571.2 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan and an increase of 0.5% in comparison with the previous year was observed. 56.8% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 16,802.8 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 2.34%).

It should be noted that last year, Azerbaijan's revenues from cargo transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to AZN 2,516,082.5 thousand, which is an increase of 8.1% in annual comparison. Last year, 39,283.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, an increase of 0.1% in comparison with the previous year. The majority of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 4.8% compared to 2022).
