Next year, the need criterion and the minimum living standard will be set at 285 AZN in Azerbaijan, SİA reports.
This was reflected in the draft laws "On the minimum living standard in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" and "On the limit of the need criterion in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025," discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis.
The minimum living standard and the need criterion are being increased by more than 5.5% compared to 2024, from 270 AZN to 285 AZN.
In 2025, the minimum living standard for the working-age population will be 305 AZN. The minimum living standard is projected to be 232 AZN for pensioners and 246 AZN for children.
It should be noted that the minimum living standard for 2024 was 287 AZN for the working-age population, 222 AZN for pensioners, and 235 AZN for children.
The draft law was put to a vote and accepted on first reading.
