The Russian Prosecutor’s Office has approved the indictment against Azerbaijani blogger Huseyn Hasanov in a money laundering case, SİA reports, citing the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office press service.
It was noted that Huseyn Hasanov is charged under an article of the Russian Criminal Code on the legalization (laundering) of funds obtained through criminal activity.The criminal case has been sent to the Presnensky District Court for trial.
The blogger has been sentenced to arrest in absentia.
Huseyn Hasanov is reported to have failed to pay more than 170 million rubles in taxes as an individual entrepreneur.
