British actor Henry Cavill, known for his role as “Superman,” was injured during training while preparing for the remake of Highlander, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists, SİA reports.
According to Deadline, the injury has forced the film’s production to be postponed until at least early next year.
The film is directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Michael Finch. Alongside Cavill, the cast includes Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Dave Bautista, and Max Zhang.
The original Highlander film, released in 1986, became a cult classic for its story of immortal warriors battling through the centuries. The remake is scheduled for release in 2026.
