Ukrainian forces liberate more than 20 settlements from Russia

Ukraine has announced that it has recaptured more than 20 settlements from the Russian army in the Kharkiv region in the east of the country. SIA reports that Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, the head of the Ukrainian army, assessed the latest situation in the region, especially in Kharkiv: "Ukrainian military units have moved 50 kilometers from the enemy line. More than 20 settlements have been liberated during active operations in Kharkiv region."

Gromov, who did not reveal the details of which settlements were recaptured, said that the total area of ​​the regions, including Kharkiv, which is again under the control of Ukrainian forces, is more than 700 square kilometers. Gromov added that the Ukrainian army advanced 3 kilometers in Slavyansk region and the settlement there was recaptured from Russian troops. Local media reported that Ukrainian forces attacked Russian forces in Kharkiv region, but the Ukrainian authorities did not make any statement about it. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in his statement yesterday that some places in Kharkiv region were recaptured from Russian forces: "We have good news from Kharkiv region this week," he stated.
