Nar and Union of Volunteer Organisations of Azerbaijan signed a MoU

Nar and Union of Volunteer Organisations of Azerbaijan (UVOA) signed a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation. On behalf of and for Nar, the memorandum was signed by Gunnar Pahnke, Chief Executive Officer, and on behalf of and for UVOA was signed by Yusif Valiyev, the Chairman.

Aimed at supporting the promotion of volunteerism in Azerbaijan by Nar and UVOA, the memorandum outlines the implementation of joint events and projects, as well as exchange of mutual experience and learning.

“As the youngest mobile operator in the country, I am pleased to express our support for the promotion of volunteerism. I believe that the special tariff developed in accordance with the demands of the volunteers, will enable more convenient communication between them and thus, contribute to the overall activity of the organization"- said Gunnar Pahnke, CEO of Nar.

“As the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan which unites 22 volunteer organizations, we are pleased to start cooperation with Nar. We believe that this cooperation will create new opportunities for Azerbaijani volunteers and contribute to further development of volunteerism” - chairman of the Union Yusif Valiyev said.

Notably, with the view to ensure effective coordination between Azerbaijani volunteers and to facilitate communication, volunteers will enjoy free mobile calls between each other on the basis of a tariff especially created by Nar.

The vision of the Union is to promote volunteering as a life style in Azerbaijan and to create conditions and opportunities for every young person to gain volunteering experience. At present, the Union includes 22 volunteer organizations working on the territory of the country.
