Azerbaijan, U.S. explore closer cooperation in transport and technology sectors
Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Samir Mammadov met with Benny Mor, the international cooperation representative of the Lincoln Club of Orange County, one of California’s largest business associations, to discuss deepening ties in high technology, transport, and logistics, the ministry told SİA.
The meeting underscored both sides’ commitment to expanding economic collaboration, with Azerbaijan highlighting its growing role as a regional technology and logistics hub. Mammadov pointed to the country’s advancements in broadband access, Tier III data centers, the SİMA digital signature system, and the MyGov platform, developments that have elevated Azerbaijan’s standing in global e-government rankings.
The deputy minister also announced new cooperation with U.S.-based IT company Epam to develop the MyGov Business platform, a single-window system designed to streamline public-private interactions.
Both sides explored opportunities for long-term partnerships between Lincoln Club members and Azerbaijani firms, including potential investments, the opening of local offices, and initiatives to develop human capital and joint venture funds.
