The first stage of the security assessment of Azerbaijan's critical information infrastructure has been completed, SİA informs referring to the State Security Service.

The results of the audits, identified deficiencies, and measures to address them were discussed at a meeting of the relevant commission.

New tasks were identified to strengthen the infrastructure's resilience to modern cyber threats.

The commission addressed compliance with general and specific security requirements, the need to regularly update the list of critical infrastructure facilities based on international experience (NIS-2, CSF 2.0), and monitoring their implementation.

Particular attention was paid to industrial control systems (SCADA) and strengthening cybersecurity oversight.

It was also noted that the National Cyber Center already uses cryptographic protection when exchanging data with infrastructure entities.
