On October 2, the 74th International Astronautical Congress was organized in Baku with the partnership of the Azerbaijan Space Agency ("Azerkomos") and the International Astronautical Federation.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their son Heydar Aliyev participated in the opening of the exhibition, SIA refers to AZERTAC.
After the opening ceremony of the exhibition, there was an introduction to the participating companies' stands. It was reported that, created on an area of 8,000 square meters, the stands of 150 companies from 36 countries are presented to the participants in the pavilion of the exhibition.
Representatives of space agencies, the public sector, investors and private space companies, representatives of local and international media organizations, and more than 5 thousand representatives from 101 countries will participate in the event.
Among the companies that received premium, platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsorship packages from the Congress were - US Space X, Axiom Space, Blue Origin, Boeing, Lockheed Martin", "BlackSky" "Vast", "Northrop Grumman" companies, China Astronautical Society, Turkish Space Agency, "Plan S" technology company, Saudi Arabia's Space Agency, "Israel Aerospace Industries" company, Muhammed Bin Rashid Space of the United Arab Emirates Center, Indian Space Research Organization, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, "ispace", "JGC Holdings Corporation", "Astroscale" companies, "Airbus" office in Germany, International Space Communication Organization "Intersputnik", "Neuraspace" of Portugal, "EnduraSat" of Bulgaria ", Austria's "Asgardia Space", Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Great Britain's Space Agency, Amazon's "Kuiper Project", "Jet Propulsion Laboratory", and "Voyager Space" companies.
The city where the Congress will be held in 2026 will be selected and announced within the framework of the Baku Congress.
The International Astronautical Congress in Baku will continue until October 6.
