Former French President gets married for the first time

After eight years together, François Hollande and Julie Gayet got married, the happy event was announced Tuesday, June 7 by the newspaper “La Montagne”, SİA reports.

The former President of French Republic and the actress/film producer said “yes” to each other on June 4 at the town hall of Tulle, where the couple spends part of the year. With his companion, the former deputy of Corrèze and president of the departmental council indeed bought a house on the heights of Tulle four years ago now.

This is the first marriage for François Hollande, who was not married to Ségolène Royal, the mother of his four children (Thomas, Clémence, Julien, and Flora). The former head of state was also not married to Valérie Trierweiler, who shared his life between 2010 and 2014. For her part, Julie Gayet donned a white dress for the second time since she had already been married to the filmmaker Santiago Amigorena, the father of her sons Tadeo and Ezéchiel, between 2000 and 2006.
