Romanian senator climbs Mount Heydar Aliyev

Member of the Romanian Senate from Maramures Province, member of the Romania-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Cristian-Augustin Niculescu-Tagarlas, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, climbed the Heydar Aliyev peak (3,751 m) in the Gizil Gaya massif of the Bashdag ridge, SİA informs.

The Romanian parliamentarian dedicated the climb to the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, emphasizing his exceptional role in the history of the country, as well as the development of friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania.

The senator was accompanied by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Romania Gudsi Osmanov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation Senan Rasulov and famous mountaineer Sima Safarova.

The delegation also met with a group of Romanian climbers who conquered the Bazarduzu peak, who shared their impressions of the nature and hospitality of Azerbaijan.
