ANM Exhibitions (established in 1965 by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India) together with the Federation of Indian Export Organizations and the Embassy of India in Baku held the opening ceremony of "Best of India" - the largest exclusive Trade Fair of Indian products. SIA reports that Vinay Kumar, India's charge d'affaires in Azerbaijan, cut the red ribbon marking the symbolic opening of the exhibition.

Speaking at the exhibition, V. Kumar noted that today's exhibition was organized within the framework of events held on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's independence.

It was pointed out that there are close friendly relations between India and Azerbaijan based on historical and cultural ties. The charge d'affaires said that in January-July 2022, the total bilateral trade turnover between India and Azerbaijan increased by 169.1 percent compared to last year and amounted to 1 billion 184 million US dollars.

"There is extensive cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields. So there is enough opportunity for Indian products in this market. This exhibition serves as a showcase of products and services offered by India. I hope that this exhibition will introduce the warm and kind people of Azerbaijan to the culture of India," said Vinay Kumar.

Then Rajnish Goenka, a member of the National Board of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India and the chairman of the Forum for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, spoke at the exhibition and said that he liked the city of Baku very much. In addition, during the event, videos with subtitles in Azerbaijani language will be shown continuously on a large LED screen to promote India's tourism, culture and investment opportunities. Apart from business and commerce, the event will also focus on representing the rich cultural heritage of India through folk dances, Bollywood song performances, traditional instruments, henna (Mehndi) art and more. Which in turn adds value to the "Best of India" event.
