Director of the Istanbul University Library Sonay Tahmaz Kaleci, employees Gulsum Akalan and Gulcan Cakir visited the Central Scientific Library to build cooperation between the two libraries.
According to SIA, the executive director of the CSL, associate professor Shahla Tahirgizi met with the guests and informed the guests about the multifaceted activities of the scientific library of the Academy, which is about a hundred years old and is one of the most prestigious libraries in the country.
During the meeting, Mubariz Goyushlu, Head of the International Relations Department of the CSL, acquainted the guests with the Exhibition Hall of the Library, the Diplomatic Fund located in the Academic Hall, where the publications donated by the representatives of different countries are being preserved, the gallery with busts of 15 academicians who have contributed to the creation of AMEA, Fund of Heroes of the Karabakh War, which systematically collects information about the martyrs, veterans and participants of the First and Second Karabakh Wars, and gave them detailed information.
The guests were presented with elegantly designed III-volume works by the Azerbaijani poet, intellectual and philosopher Mohammad Fuzuli from the CSL exchange fund.
The guests expressed their satisfaction with the acquaintance between the libraries and hope for the establishment of future cooperation.
