The 7th meeting of the Asian National Museums Association (ANMA) was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our country was also represented in this year's meeting of the organization, according to SIA.
The head of the Department for museum affairs and control over cultural resources of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan Republic Nargiz Abdullayeva has attended at the event.
The activities for two years of national museums of Japan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, North Korea, Nepal, Cambodia, Singapore, Oman and Kazakhstan were represented during the conference.
Representatives and guests also were informed about National Carpets Museum and National Museum of Arts by Nargiz Abdullayeva. After successful presentation, was given a vote and the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art became a member of the Asian National Museums Association.
The participants of the conference have visited the famous Royal Palace, National and Textile Museums of Malaysia.
It has been noted that, there are 16 members of ANMA. An association conference is held every two years. The next meeting of the organization will be held in 2021 in Oman.
