The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Through the Eyes of Belarusian Artists" took place at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art as part of the Cultural Days of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Azerbaijan, SIA reports.

The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Artists Union, along with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art, showcases 35 colorful artworks.

During the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Markevich, Director of the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art Shirin Malikova, President of the Azerbaijan Artists Union Farhad Khalilov, and Director of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus Anna Kononova. They highlighted the strong existing ties between the two countries and emphasized that this cultural event opens up new horizons for future successful cooperation.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from German fascists in 2024, Belarusian artists Anton Virvo, Anna Kononova, Gleb Otchik, Anna Sadovskaya, and Vladimir Urodnyk pay tribute to this historic event - the memory of the liberators of the homeland with respect, portraying the beauty of life under peace in landscape paintings exhibited at the gallery. Each artwork conveys the unique aura of Belarus's rich nature, urban, and rural landscapes. The beauty of nature is depicted with genuine affection for the native land in every painting. The exhibition will continue until April 3rd.

Within the framework of the Cultural Days, a cooperation agreement will also be signed between the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art and the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
