As December 31 approaches, the Baku City Executive Authority and executive authorities in its administrative-territorial districts have undertaken extensive preparations for the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year's celebrations.
The parks, squares and streets of the capital were adorned with festive decorations, including New Year's attributes and illuminated chandeliers, as part of the ongoing decoration efforts.
The courageous Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, liberated Azerbaijani lands from Armenia’s occupation. This year, a remarkable Victory Parade was organized in Khankendi.
At present, Azerbaijan is experiencing rapid development, and the festive spirit among the Azerbaijani people is exceptionally high. In recognition of this enthusiasm, special preparations and arrangements have been carried out in Baku for December 31, marking the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.
Traditionally, streets such as Yusif Safarov, Niyazi and Istiglaliyet, along with Neftchilar and Azerbaijan avenues, which are traditionally adorned for holidays, have been decorated in celebration of the occasion.
In the Azneft circle, a 20-meter high New Year's pine tree was installed with a special and unique design.
The decoration efforts also extended to public catering facilities, where the fronts, windows and halls of shops and large shopping centers were adorned for the holiday.
Furthermore, special holiday preparations were carried out at the Fountain Square, Baku Boulevard, and Icherisheher, all of which are popular entertainment destinations in Baku. The arrangements were conducted based on a distinct and comprehensive program, differing from previous ones.
Simultaneously, the district executive authorities were advised to implement appropriate measures related to the holiday.
New Year's pine trees were installed in most squares and parks throughout the city, and the preparatory work was implemented.
