As reported, 20 years have passed since the death of the founder of the modern and independent state of Azerbaijan.
It was mentioned in the report that history remembers him as a rare leader, a powerful head of state, and a legendary person who was able to shoulder the difficult historical task of state-building.
It was also brought to attention that Heydar Aliyev's philosophy of Azerbaijanism determined Azerbaijan's place in the modern world after gaining independence, and created a solid foundation for the solidarity of the World Azerbaijanis as the ideological foundation of national statehood. The Contract of the Century, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and other internationally important projects are connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev. As a result of the great leader's wise policy, high-speed socio-economic development was ensured in Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan became a country with a strong position in international relations.
