Minister of Culture Adil Karimli has visited "Azerbaijanfilm" film studio named after Jafar Jabbarli, SIA reports.
The ministry informed that the director of the Cinema Studio Nazim Huseynov familiarized the minister with the conditions in the territory and administrative buildings.
During the inspection of the enterprise, relevant instructions and recommendations were given regarding the establishment of the activity at the level of the current requirements.
Then the Minister of Culture Adil Karimli visited the State Film Fund.
Jamil Guliyev, director of the foundation, Honored art worker, first introduced the minister to the general area. He said that the State Film Fund was established on the initiative of the national leader Heydar Aliyev according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan dated December 22, 1993. In accordance with the "State Program on the Development of Azerbaijani Cinema for 2008-2018" signed by President Ilham Aliyev, a new building for the State Film Fund was commissioned in 2008.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimli, got acquainted with the Azerbaijan State Film Fund, which has a total area of approximately 6.6 thousand square meters, equipped with administrative rooms, a laboratory, a performance hall, auxiliary rooms, as well as storage and restoration conditions for films in the Fund, film storage boxes, tape recovery equipment and other of its technical capabilities.
The minister was given extensive information about the exhibits of the Cinema Museum operating under the Film Fund, and it was brought to his attention that every year the Film Fund organizes events, jubilee and memorial nights dedicated to the memories of Azerbaijani cinema figures, private archive funds are created, and the total number of storage units protected in the Fund is 80,000.
Then the Minister of Culture was interested in the problems faced by the Film Fund at the present time and emphasized that the institution will be covered by state care in the future.
