Apple has removed Cuba from its restricted country list for foreign trade, reflecting the fact that some of its hardware and software are now legally eligible to be exported to the Caribbean country, according to the information posted on the company’s website. North Korea, Sudan and Syria are now on the restricted country list.
In the section the rules of global trade, Apple has posted an explanation on the latest changes entitled "Support for the Cuban people." It results from that "some Apple products and software" will be available for the Cuban people.
Sales of Apple devices in Cuba were made possible on February 13 after the United States decided to substantially reduce restrictions on imports of goods and services for private entrepreneurs of Liberty Island.
In mid-December 2014, US President Barack Obama announced a policy of rapprochement with Cuba. Washington expressed its willingness to restore diplomatic relations broken off in 1961. In particular, the United States will open its embassy in Cuba.
