Russia's gas supply to Europe decreases by 47 percent

Russia has reduced gas supply to Europe by 50 billion cubic meters. During the last four-five months, i.e. until October 1, the decline was 47 percent.

According to Russian media, the head of "Novatek" Leonid Mikhelson stated, SIA reports.

"In the last 4-5 months, Russia's supply to Europe has decreased by almost 50 billion cubic meters. As of October 1, the decrease compared to last year was 47 percent. These supplies have been almost entirely replaced by liquefied natural gas. Thus, European consumption has also increased. Additional deliveries through European regasification terminals amounted to 43 billion cubic meters, of which 29 billion cubic meters came from the United States," Mikhelson said during his speech at the XV Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.

Michelson also noted that shipments to Korea and Japan remained roughly at 2021 levels, while shipments to China and India declined by 23 percent and 19 percent, respectively.
