Industrial facility burns after shelling in Belgorod, authorities claim

A fire broke out at an industrial facility in Belgorod Oblast, Russia. The local government has claimed that it occurred as a result of shelling.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of Belgorod Oblast, shared on Telegram, SIA reports.

Gladkov said that a fire broke out "at one of industrial facilities" in the Shebekino district as a result of being hit by a shell. He added that one person was injured.

A fire broke out at a substation in the city of Belgorod, Russia on 14 October; the electricity went off in some districts of the city.

Explosions rang out in the Russian city of Belgorod, located to the northeast of Ukraine, not far from the Russian-Ukrainian border, on the evening of 13 October. Early reports indicate that an ammunition depot has been blown up.

The local community reports that a paint and varnish factory was hit, but there is no official confirmation of this information. Gladkov claimed that the Ukrainian military also shelled the village of Murom, located in the Shebekinsky district.
