Peskov says "not on the agenda" for plans of phone talks between US, Russian leaders

Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov has announced that Vladimir Putin's telephone conversation with US President Joseph Biden is not planned, SIA reports, citing TASS.

"No. It's not on the agenda," he said when asked if a conversation between Putin and Biden was possible after the meeting between the heads of the US and Russian defense ministries.

Earlier the spokesperson of the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, stated in a briefing that the publications that the US administration tried to prevent even a chance meeting of the American and Russian presidents at the G20 summit were incorrect.

"Politico" wrote that the White House officials took steps to prevent American and Russian leaders from crossing paths in the corridors and even during group photos at the summit.

But despite all this, the possibility of participation of Vladimir Putin and Joseph Biden in the general plenary meeting within the framework of G20 is not ruled out.
