Compensation to be paid to flood victims in Pakistan

"The government will give $4,522 compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the flood," the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif said in a statement to journalists in the capital Islamabad, SIA reports, citing Turkish media.

Stating that 316 million dollars will be distributed to those affected by the flood, Sharif said that compensation will also be given to the families of the injured. Noting that the winter season is approaching, Prime Minister informed that the Chinese government will send tents for the winter season to the disaster victims.

In total 1,725 ​​people, including 643 children and 348 women, have lost their lives in the flood disaster caused by torrential rains throughout the summer.

As a result of floods, 2.2 million houses, 13 thousand kilometers of roads were damaged, 435 bridges were destroyed, and 1.1 million farm animals were killed.
