US condemns Russia over drone attacks on Kyiv

In the United States, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre has condemned Russia's missile attacks on Ukraine. The spokeswoman noted that United States will continue to provide necessary defense support to Ukraine, SIA refers to Turkish media.

"These attacks show the brutality of Russia," she stated.

Paying attention to the frequent meetings of US President Joe Biden with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Jean-Pierre stressed that they will continue to provide necessary defense support to Ukraine.

Valuing Zelensky's statements, "Russia uses Iranian-made kamikaze UCAVs (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle)," Jean-Pierre recalled the United States' previous warnings about this issue.

"We will continue to impose sanctions on Iran and Russia for arms trade. We will try to make it difficult for Iran to sell arms to Russia," Jean-Pierre added.

The spokeswoman stated that Iranian-made anti-aircraft missiles were used by Russia against both civilian and military targets in Ukraine.

"There are images of Iranian-made UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) attacks on the city center of Kyiv, but Iran continues to deny the facts," she stated.
