As a result of the midterm elections in the US, which will be held in November, Congress may come under the control of Republicans, SİA informs referring to Real Clear Politics (RCP).
The RCP came to such conclusions on the basis of regional surveys of American TV channels and sociological services.
A month before the November midterm elections, Republicans are clearly in the lead in the race for 220 seats in the House: they can get a majority. The Democrats would have 180 seats in the House of Representatives today. There is no clear leader in the struggle for another 35 mandates.
In the Senate, the Republicans would get 47 seats, and the Democrats - 46. The fate of another seven mandates is not yet clearly determined by the polls, but the Republican candidates have a small lead in the fight for four seats.
