"Any conflict situations between states close to us is a matter of serious concern for us. We call on everyone to show restraint, strictly observe the ceasefire and firmly follow the tripartite statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia," Putin said.

The Russian leader also stressed the need to resolve territorial disputes jointly within the framework of the bilateral commission on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with consultative assistance from Russia.

Putin also added that measures are being taken through the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to reduce the aggravation between Baku and Yerevan.
