The US is preparing to provide advanced missile systems to Ukraine in the next military aid package. US National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said in astatement, SIA refers to "RIA Novosti".
"We're going to give them the weapons and equipment they desperately need to fight in the east and specifically in the south," Kirby said, adding that the list includes advanced missile systems. In addition, the politician said that the White House will soon announce a new military aid package to Kyiv.
It should be recalled that yesterday the Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, warned that the start of the supply of ATACMS tactical missiles for the HIMARS MLRS to Ukraine could lead to the direct participation of the United States in a military conflict with Russia.
Antonov, who does not rule out that Kiev will hit Russia's large cities and various infrastructure facilities with the HIMARS systems that America will provide to Ukraine, said: "Such a scenario would be the direct participation of the United States in a military conflict with Russia."
