President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, arrived in Kyiv on a working visit on Thursday, September 15. This is her third visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the warm SİA informs, citing Ursula von der Leyen's Twitter page.
"In Kyiv, for my 3rd visit since the start of Russia’s war. So much has changed. Ukraine is now a EU candidate," she tweeted.
The EC chief said as part of her visit she will meet with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to discuss how to continue getting the country's economy and people closer to the EU countries while Ukraine progresses towards accession.
