Volodymyr Zelensky visits the liberated Izyum city

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday visited the east Ukraine city of Izium, one of the largest cities recently recaptured from Russia by Kyiv's army.

Volodymyr Zelensky and military officials took part in the ceremony raising the Ukrainian flag in front of the building of the Izyum City Council, SIA cites foreign media. As part of the visit, the memory of those who lost their lives as a result of the war was commemorated with a minute of silence.

After the ceremony, Volodymyr Zelensky, while answering the journalists' questions, sent a message to the residents of Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.

"My message to the residents of Crimea is that we will come. The propaganda carried out on Russian television for 8 years is of no importance to us. We know that the truth is on our side. This means that we will eventually come to Crimea. I don't know when. No one knows, but we have a plan. Because it is our land and our people. That's why we will be there," the Ukrainian President stated.
