General Mladic serving life sentence for genocide in Bosnia hospitalized

War-time Bosnian Serbs’ army commander and convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic was transferred to a hospital due to worsening health, his son Darko told the Srna news agency on Friday, according to SİA.

Darko Mladic said his father did not feel well and was admitted to a hospital on Thursday where he would undergo some special check-ups.

Younger Mladic said the family was waiting for the news on his health condition.

He said his father communicated when his wife visited him and that his state deteriorated, so the visit was interrupted after a doctor came.

Darko Mladic added the doctors told his mother that it was nothing serious, but that they would do some check-ups. “We still have no information about what’s going on.”

The Hague Tribunal for War Crimes sentenced Mladic (77) in November 2017 to life imprisonment for genocide and war crimes during the Balkan conflict.
