Turkiye, Finland, Sweden officials meet for the first meeting on NATO bid

Turkey, Sweden and Finland met in Helsinki for the first meeting on NATO membership. SIA reports that officials from Turkey, Sweden and Finland signed a memorandum of understanding at the end of June for the two Scandinavian countries to join NATO on the condition that they meet Ankara's security concerns.

During Friday's meeting, Türkiye will be represented by presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal.
