Another country registers its first Monkeypox case

Cuban doctors have registered the first case of infection with monkeypox. SIA reports that the local "Cubadebate" news portal published information about this with reference to the Ministry of Health.

According to the report, the infected person is a tourist who came to the country from Italy on August 15. Two days later, she developed symptoms of infection, which were confirmed to be positive by tests.

The patient's current condition is critical.

Monkeypox is a rare viral disease, mainly transmitted from wild animals to humans. Its symptoms include fever, headache, muscle and back pain, chills and fatigue. Skin rashes also appear on the face and other parts of the body.
