US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a telephone conversation discussed with Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov the issues of future provision of American military assistance to Kyiv, SİA informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov to discuss Ukraine's immediate and long-term needs for security assistance, according to the press service of the Pentagon.
It is noted that Reznikov informed Austin about the state of affairs in the combat area in Ukraine.
During the conversation, the parties also raised the issue of holding the next meeting of the Contact Group.
