Italy's Lake Garda plunges to record-low water levels

The water level in Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, has fallen to its lowest level ever recorded. The rocks surrounding the Sirmione peninsula in the lake has appeared due to the decrease of water, SIA cites foreign press.

In northern Italy, the amount of snow has decreased by 70 percent this year.

A number of European countries, including Spain, Germany, Portugal, France, the Netherlands and the UK, are promoting water restrictions this summer.
