Turkish and Russian leaders to meet in Sochi

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will meet in Sochi on August 5, will exchange views on the situation in Ukraine and grain removal from the Black Sea ports, SIA reports citing the spokesman's statement at a press conference.

Peskov said that the talks will be devoted to the discussion of regional issues such as bilateral cooperation, the economy, the Syrian and Ukrainian crises: "This will also be a good opportunity to set the clock. There will also be an exchange of views on the efficiency of the mechanism for removing grain from Ukrainian ports."

Noting that the leaders of Russia and Turkiye plan to exchange views on global issues, Peskov stressed that the agenda will be extremely tense.
