Cavusoglu: Turkiye hopes agreement on grain supply will lead to ceasefire
Turkiye hopes that an agreement with Ukraine and Russia on the supply of grain through the Black Sea will lead to a ceasefire between the countries, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu tweeted, SİA informs.
“As part of safe shipment of Ukrainian grain over the Black Sea, first ship departed from Ukraine. We hope this process will continue without interruptions & problems. We’ll do what is necessary to this end. We hope that the agreement will lead to a ceasefire & lasting peace,” he wrote.
On August 1, the first ship loaded with grain left the port of Odesa. “The Sierra Leone-flagged bulk carrier Razoni loaded with corn will sail to Lebanon,” the Joint Coordinating Center said.
