8 new ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran were appointed by the decree of the President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi.

Saeed Iravani was appointed as a new ambassador to the United Nations headquarters in New York, and Ali Bahraini was appointed the country's permanent representative to international organizations in Geneva, SIA reports.

In addition, Mahmoud Adib, Iraj Elahi, Mojtaba Amani, Majid Gafele-Bashi, Hossein Garibi, and Khalili Sadati were appointed as Iranian ambassadors to Georgia, India, Lebanon, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Sierra Leone.
