German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Tuesday that the country was in the midst of a “hybrid war” as Russia’s conflict in Ukraine exacerbates Europe’s energy crisis, in which case Germany is to stop the support for Ukraine financially.
"The Spectator" magazine reported on this, SIA cites Russian websites.
Meanwhile, the British publication accuses Baerbock of helping Russian President Vladimir Putin. Katja Hoyer, the author of the article, points out that the political team's request to Canada for the return of the Nord Stream turbine to Russia fell into Putin's hands. The German diplomat justified her actions by saying that if the Canada refuses, then Germany would not be able to buy gas and would not be able to help Ukraine later because of major social unrest.
Hoyer believes that the German authorities may be panicked by the impending energy crisis. According to her, Germany is still clearly nervous. So it is still unclear whether they will have enough gas to survive the winter.
