The torrential rain hits Turkiye's northwestern region

The torrential rain in Turkiye's Eskişehir, Bilecik and Bursa provinces has caused complications.

SIA reports with reference to AZERTAC that large-scale puddles have appeared on the streets and avenues of all three provinces due to precipitation. A number of homes and businesses were also flooded. Many trees fell in the region and cars were submerged in flood waters. The walls of some of the houses have collapsed.

Two members of a family, a mother and a son, were swept away by floodwaters in Bilecik's Golpazari district. As a result of the incident, the son was saved, but the woman died.

Hydrometeorologists predict that on July 10, it will rain in 21 provinces of Turkiye, including Istanbul and Ankara.
