The Russian forces have already took control over Lysychansk region.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Military Administration of Lugansk region of Ukraine Sergey Gayday, SIA cites UNIAN.
Sergey said that Russia has probably directed all its forces to Lysychansk, and all types of weapons are being used. According to the chairman of the Military Administration of the Luhansk region, the Russian Army is advancing stubbornly despite serious losses: "They are reinforcing in the city, as well as in the settlement of Vernekamenk, and they continue to destroy our settlements."
Earlier, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov announced that the Russian and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) militaries are already in the center of the city.
Lysychansk was the last city in Luhansk region that remained under Ukrainian control.
