The number of Turkish soldiers killed in the Penche-Kilit operation zone in northern Iraq has increased.
According to the SIA, the number of servicemen killed as a result of the detonation of an explosive device planted by terrorists has reached two. Two other servicemen were also injured in the blast. The injured were hospitalized.
One soldier succumbed to wounds sustained during fighting on Friday, while the other one was killed on Saturday when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense expressed their condolences to the families of the killed servicemen and wished healing to the wounded.
The Turkish army launched the anti-terrorist operation "Penche-Kilit" in northern Iraq on April 18.
