According to the National Defense Ministry, during the telephone conversation between Minister Hulusi Akar and Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks, the two colleagues exchanged views on bilateral and regional defense, security and NATO issues.
Hulusi Akar also spoke on the phone with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov on June 6.
According to the ministry, the Akar-Reznikov meeting focused on ensuring the safe transportation of merchant ships and A400M planes to Turkish ports.
