According to the info obtained by SIA, seven agreements on cooperation were signed between the two countries during the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Turkey. After the signing ceremony, the parties held a joint press conference.

Speaking at the press conference, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: "Friendship and brotherhood between Turkey and Pakistan are based on historical ties. We will never forget the support of South Asian Muslims during our struggle for independence. We have never forgotten the selflessness of Pakistani women who donated dowry and jewelry to us during the years of the National Struggle. Relations between the two countries have been developing since 1947 on the basis of friendship and brotherhood. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Pakistan. Bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed at the meetings. We are committed to strengthening solidarity both bilaterally and internationally. Activities related to the 7th meeting of the Turkey-Pakistan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council are underway. Despite the epidemic, trade between the two countries is more than $1 billion. We aim to increase trade between the two countries to $5 billion. The Strategic and Economic Framework Document we signed in Islamabad in February 2020 forms the basis of our close cooperation in many areas, from trade to the defense industry. We are trying to develop our cooperation, especially in the service sectors such as tourism, education, logistics, civil aviation, communications and information technology. I believe that Mr. Sheriff's meetings with businessmen today will contribute to the growth of our mutual trade and investment. "
